The Opportunity An exciting new challenge has become available to have the chance of working as a logistics operator within a collaborative team of chemical specialists, where you will be responsible for ensuring optimum safety is maintained in line with company requirements.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Ensure optimum operation of all plant clearance activity to include but not limited to, loading trailers, and movement of trailers and tankers and supply of raw materials, pallets, and packaging.
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance procedures and first line breakdown maintenance so that plant downtime is minimised.
- As a Logistics Co-ordinator you will maintain a safe operation that complies with safety, environmental and Company standards, including auditing, reporting, and housekeeping.
- Provide problem solving and diagnostic expertise to ensure issues are resolved and plant operation continued.
- Record accurately all processed information such that it can be used to ensure process operation is maintained within set limits.
- Training others in tasks they perform regularly within their job role.
- Participate in Improvement Activities, individually and as part of a team and perform formal shift handovers as required.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
- PPT part ll & lII (minimum standard required to fulfil role)
- Process Operations NVQ Level 3.
- Chemical process plant shift work experience.
- Special features you will need.
- Process Operators will carry out any task they have been deemed competent to do, provided that such activity can be completed safely.
- You will be required to work with minimum of supervision from his first line manager.
