Co-ordinate the engagement of all service users at Arbury Court as Patient Liaison and Complaints Co-ordinator as play your part in helping people through their recovery journey.

The Co-ordinator aspect of the role will see you Co-ordinate service user forum meetings and service user regional and national events, while the Complaints aspect will see you professionally investigate complaints made by service users.

With previous experience working within a mental health setting, you will positively engage with service users through the service users' council, questionnaires and surveys, carry out service user-related audits and support with administration duties directly linked to service users' council and the Social Work team in an administrative capacity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring all complaints dealt with at ward level.
  • Maintain the Complaints Database and send it to Elysium central every month.
  • Professionally investigate complaints made by service users, including acknowledging the compliant, investigating the matter at hand, reporting and maintaining confidentiality
  • Producing monthly statistical reports, and present these at the Senior Management Team/Head of Department Meeting.
  • Receiving and record typing, checking and amending for spelling and grammatical errors, completing within given deadlines.
  • Ensuring that all documentation reproduced is online with the site's standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard in office practice and procedures, including filing systems.
  • Maintain any records as may from time to time be specified to support tasks being carried out or allow monitoring of tasks.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge of Mental Health issues, Anti-Discriminatory Practice and Complaints Procedures
  • Word Processing qualification or strong Word Processing ability
  • Good computer literacy
  • Good interpersonal and oral communication skills including negotiating, mediation, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work in a secure setting with service users who present with challenging behaviour and who have a mental disorder.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • BTEC Diploma Health and Social Care (desirable)
