This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to further their career in the tech buying and category management sector.The successful candidate will work closely with the buying team, contributing to supplier relationships, product sourcing, and inventory management. This role offers the opportunity to progress into a Buyer position in the future.Key Responsibilities1. Supplier and Brand Management
  • Support the identification and management of relationships with suppliers and brands.
  • Communicate regularly with suppliers to track orders and address issues.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favourable deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective supplier strategies.
2. Market Research and Analysis
  • Conduct research to uncover new product opportunities and market trends.
  • Analyze sales data and industry reports to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activity to ensure market competitiveness.
3. Order Processing and Inventory Management
  • Coordinate and process purchase orders accurately.
  • Work closely with inventory teams to optimise stock levels.
  • Identify and address slow-moving inventory to maximise efficiency.
4. Quality Assurance
  • Liaise with quality control teams to ensure products meet the company’s standards.
  • Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly.
5. Administrative Support
  • Provide administrative support to the buying team, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation.
  • Maintain product catalogues and pricing databases.
  • Assist the team with ad hoc tasks and projects.
The Right Candidate Will:
