Role Profile

Our long-standing client is looking to recruit a talented Procurement professional to undertake an exciting new leadership role within their Procurement team.

If you are passionate about Procurement Excellence and have a strong interest in technology, systems, processes and continuous improvements, then this is the perfect role for you.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing an established Procurement team covering Indirect Procurement, Compliance and Data Analysis
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Procurement function to ensure maximum growth, quality, efficiency and value
  • Leading and delivering technology projects designed to enhance and develop procurement platforms and systems
  • Assuming responsibility for Procurement processes across the business including the development, maintenance and application of processes to ensure highest standards of consistency and quality
  • Delivering hands-on procurement projects when necessary, managing end to end sourcing processes for high value categories, including tendering, contract negotiation and ongoing contract management

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a strategic Procurement role
  • Deep understanding of data and strong system / process orientation
  • Proven track record in change management and continuous improvement
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Understanding of public sector Procurement regulations
