ABS are delighted to be working for a long standing client of ours , looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor. They are a leading utilities and infrastructure organisation going through a large period of growth, doubling in size with a projected turnover of 1.2billion in the next 4 years.

What you will be doing:

  • Work closely with sub-contractors, while ensuring that the needs of a project are met
  • Effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders, while minimising costs to maximise the value received
  • Ensure that proper records, including final accounts, are kept and maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.
  • Develop contract management skills, understanding the New Engineering Contract (NEC) contract and how change control works.
  • Promote quality, cost, and efficiency strategy to ensure everyone is minimising costs and maximising value and assist with maintaining safety culture - through the production of critical designs, health and safety documentation, O&M manuals and commissioning plans
