About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction consultancy, overseeing projects across the North West. Working on high-profile education and local authority schemes, you will play a key role in delivering projects valued up to £50 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of cost control and contract administration across multiple projects.

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, tenders, and procurement strategies.

  • Conducting feasibility studies, cost planning, and value engineering.

  • Negotiating contracts and liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.

  • Ensuring projects adhere to budget constraints and financial reporting requirements.

  • Providing expert advice on commercial risks and financial performance.

  • Keeping up to date with industry regulations and procurement best practices.

Requirements:

  • Chartered status beneficial.

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector, ideally within education and local authority projects.

  • Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in cost estimating and financial reporting tools.
