My client are a highly regarded, leading tier 1 contractor delivering building and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

They are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to initially work on a 20m office block scheme.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Proficiently handle various contract forms, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement.
  • Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on similar schemes exceeding 15 million in value.
  • Proficiency in handling various contract forms
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
