Senior Quantity Surveyor

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor has arisen onsite with one of our Engineering clients, a world leader within many industries. This role is placed within EPC contracts (Oil & Gas, Nuclear or highly regulated industry).

The Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will report directly to the Head of Commercial for Projects, Engineering, and Automation. You will be accountable for the commercial and cost management of a project or programme from inception to close out.

Key Activities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate live forecasting, taking into account the project programme and reporting in accordance with SAP accounts.

You will Monitor actual costs, direct labour, plant, materials, and management bookings. Maintain robust project controls and accurate reporting of progress, estimated costs-to-complete, and contractor responsibilities.

Your role will also involve NEC3/4 contract administration, including creating early warnings, payment certificates, compensation event notifications, and quotations, and responding to client communications. Experience with electronic contract administration systems like Fastdraft, CEMAR, Conject, and Aconex is essential.

Financial & Commercial Experience:

  • You will have extensive experience managing projects and term contracts.
  • Proven expertise in contract administration, specifically with the NEC3/4 suite of contracts.
  • Over 5 years of experience in contracting or customer commercial roles.
  • Degree in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
  • Membership in a professional body such as RICS (preferred).
