Sourcing Assistant | Online & Retail Performance Brand | International | Liverpool | Circa £35,000 The Sourcing Assistant Opportunity:

As a Sourcing Assistant, you'll be at the heart of a fast-growing, multi-million-pound brand, driving the evolution of their global supply chain.You'll work alongside a dynamic, cross-functional team including the Sourcing Manager, Product Developers, and Merchandisers, helping to shape the future of this brands product offering while mitigating risks and maximising supplier performance.

Sourcing Assistant Impact:

  • Strategic Supplier Management: Own and manage supplier lists across the business, ensuring a strategic review of current suppliers at both the department and category level. Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and expansion to help drive growth.

  • Supplier Development: Be part of the team introducing exciting new suppliers to the business while maintaining strong relationships with existing partners. You'll help ensure we're working with the best in the industry and that their supply base is agile, efficient, and innovative.

  • Cost & Freight Expertise: Collaborate with product teams on costings and have a strong understanding of freight terms (FOB, Landed, etc.) to support the business in making informed decisions on pricing, delivery, and supplier negotiations.

  • Global Insight & Trends: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and engaging with global suppliers, exploring new countries of origin (COOs), and keeping your finger on the pulse of industry trends. You'll actively identify fresh, innovative suppliers that align with the brand's values and vision.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Logistics, and Merchandising teams to ensure smooth operations and address challenges related to freight pricing, delivery timelines, and capacity management.

  • Capacity & Critical Path Management: Ensure suppliers can meet the growing demand of our expanding business by tracking capacity and monitoring critical paths to ensure on-time delivery without compromising on quality.

  • Brand Protection & Growth: You'll be the brand's supply chain guardian, protecting the integrity of quality, design, and sustainability standards. With every decision, you'll ensure that their suppliers evolve alongside their brand, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
