Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Tutor to provide support and guidance to students in KS2, in particular Year 6 in a lovely Warrington Primary School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics and the ability to engage students in interactive and impactful learning experiences.

Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm. Tuesdays Only

Rate: £130+ per day depending on experience and specialism

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students in KS2, Year 6, and GCSE levels
  • Create personalized learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Teach and reinforce key mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies
  • Motivate and inspire students to build confidence and achieve academic success
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching mathematics
  • Strong knowledge of KS2, Year 6, and GCSE Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Day-to-day
  • Conduct tutoring sessions on-site or through virtual platforms
  • Prepare and adapt teaching materials to suit the specific needs of each student
  • Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress
  • Stay informed about best practices in mathematics education and implement innovative teaching strategies
