Locum Social Worker - Family Help Locality Team | Maternity Leave Cover | Hybrid Working | Start ASAP

Are you a qualified and passionate Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact in children's lives?

We're currently seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join a Family Help Locality Team in Warrington. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a forward-thinking local authority, driving real change for children and families.This role involves case holding at Child in Need and Child Protection level, with flexibility to manage your own diary. You'll be based in the office a minimum of 2 days per week, with the rest of your time structured around your caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Build positive, lasting relationships with children, families, and carers
  • Deliver effective interventions to support families and safeguard children
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals
  • Complete Section 47 enquiries and attend case conferences
  • Manage Child Protection plans and proceedings
  • Chair meetings and contribute to service planning

To be considered for the Social Worker role:

  • 1+ years' experience in a similar social work role
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Qualified with BSc in Social Work or equivalent
  • Confident in managing complex caseloads and making sound decisions
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management
