An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Warrington Council within the Child Protection team. This is a temporary social worker position in order to cover maternity leave work includes early stages of care proceedings.

In this role you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate of 40 whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.
As a valued member of the team you will be responsible for child in need and child protection cases within the case management part of the team, effectively supporting good case planning and completing interventions with children and young people.

Responsabilities:
* Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
* Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young peoples needs
* Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
* Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
* Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
* Completion of Care Proceedings
* Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
* Organising/managing packages of care
* Preparing and presenting case conference reports
* Completing/reviewing/implementing CIN plans
* Chairing Children in Need meetings
* Attending court and giving evidence when required
