Join a leading FTSE 100 company as a Senior Systems Management Engineer (SCOM). This role involves managing both routine and non-routine systems infrastructure and software technologies that support our client’s IT strategy.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for monthly patches and configuring tools using MS Systems Centre including MS Operations Manager, MS Orchestration Manager, and MS Configuration Manager.
  • Ensure 24/7/365 availability of supported platforms through monitoring and optimization.
  • Develop expertise in system configurations and operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like GDPR and NIS.
  • Contribute to operational KPI reporting.
  • Provide technical support and documentation.
  • Identify and implement service improvements through automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ITIL 3+ Foundation Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft System Center and automation platforms.
  • Experience supporting SCOM, SCORCH, Intune, or SCCM.
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of security protocols, networking technologies, and source code repositories.
  • Experience with dashboard technologies and cloud environments.
