Reeson Education is working with a fantastic SEMH school in the WA4 area to recruit a HLTA to support students across Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 on a full-time, long-term basis.

This nurturing and inclusive school provides a broad, balanced, and supportive curriculum to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Staff work closely together to help students build confidence, resilience, and independence.

Key Responsibilities for the HLTA:

  • Lead small group sessions and interventions to support learning
  • Provide classroom support as a HLTA to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to adapt learning materials

Requirements for the HLTA:

  • Experience working as a HLTA or a strong Teaching Assistant looking to step up
  • Ability to support students with SEMH and additional needs
  • Confidence to lead sessions and support class learning
  • A calm, positive, and proactive approach to behaviour management
  • Commitment to a long-term role in a supportive school environment
