FIND are delighted to be working in partnership with a world-class training and apprenticeships provider to recruit an enthusiastic, resilient and empathetic Part Time Learner Support Assistant. Working from our clients office in Warrington from Tuesday-Thursday, the successful candidate will work closely with the Development Coaches to provide necessary adjustments and support to learners with difficulties or disabilities.  The postholder will also provide high-quality learning support to apprentices with diverse needs, facilitating their independence, access to learning, and integration into the educational community. Primary objectives
  • Work closely with the Delivery team to provide targeted support to apprentices who require additional learning support.
  • Deliver support through 1:1 sessions, small group interactions, and classroom environments
  • Manage and document detailed records of support provided to support the compliance process for Learning Support Funding (LSF)
  • Conduct initial assessments to identify learners who may require additional support
  • Prepare and submit evidence to support Learning Support Funding claims
  • Monitor and review the effectiveness of support provided through LSF
  • Ensure compliance with Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) guidelines for LSF usage
  • Adopt innovative strategies to empower learners and promote independent learning
  • Support the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of apprentices
  • Assist students in maximizing their skills, abilities, and potential
  • Develop tools and strategies to help learners develop confidence and overcome learning barriers
  • Support learners in social contexts through encouragement and active listening
  • To promote genuine equality, diversity and well-being in all aspects of apprenticeship delivery and take responsibility for the health, safety and safeguarding activities applicable to the role as set out in the organisation’s policy statements
Personal Specification
  • Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy
  • IT skills sufficient to support learners remotely
  • Understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and Learning Support Funding processes
  • Knowledge of inclusive educational practices and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
