Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs within a local Warrington Primary School.

This role will be to work within a KS1 class and will be 8.30am - 12.30pm, 5 days per week from September until Christmas.

Rate - £90 per day

Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support and assistance to students with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages the academic and emotional growth of students
  • Assist in the development and implementation of specialized learning activities and interventions
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to student support
  • Offer support during classroom activities, ensuring that all students can engage and participate at their own pace and level
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working with individuals with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of diverse learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment
  • Relevant certifications or training in special educational needs support and interventions

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will spend your days providing personalized support and assistance to students with diverse learning needs. This will involve working closely with individual students, collaborating with teachers to implement tailored education plans, and creating a nurturing environment where every student can flourish. Your role will also involve effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, and the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of specialized learning activities and interventions.
