What you'll do:

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead the charge in collaborating with fabric mills and trim suppliers to push the boundaries of innovative fabric constructions, finishes, and trims.
  • Partner closely with the sourcing team to ensure fabric and trim sourcing align seamlessly with the strategic garment sourcing vision.
  • Spearhead the introduction of cutting-edge fabric technologies and finishes, giving our designs a distinct competitive edge and setting industry trends.
  • Drive fabric and trim development in line with Montirex's ambitious sustainability goals and overarching business strategy.
  • Work hand-in-hand with product development and garment tech teams to ensure timely fabric development, ordering, and production within the critical path.
  • Oversee global manufacturing consistency, managing a curated fabric library and ensuring the use of approved core fabrics for bulk production.
  • Keep a sharp focus on business target margins and range architecture, ensuring fabric and trim developments are cost-effective and unlocking savings through strategic fabric and yarn negotiations.
  • Own supplier engagement on testing requirements, maintaining meticulous records of testing and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the garment tech team to guarantee all fabric developments meet Montirex's rigorous technical standards and testing protocols.
  • Take charge of problem-solving with suppliers when test results fall short, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
