Warehouse Operative + upto£25k-£28k salary DOE + permanent role + Day shift

Our client based in Irlam, have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse operative to join their new DC in Warrington.

The role would be to ensure timely despatch of materials or products and to contribute to the smooth operation of the distribution department.

The perform the role of Warehouse Operative successfully, you must be able to accomplish the following position objectives:

  • Follow priorities and schedules as set by the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Undertake warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, inter company transfers restock, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts and inventory maintenance activities
  • Comply with standard operational and working practices
  • Observe health &s safety requirements and report/ act on any areas of non-compliance
  • General administration, including some order confirmation etc
  • Compile, store and retrieve distribution data
  • Use of fork-lift truck, observing all relevant safety measures
  • Such other duties as may be required from time to time.
  • Warehouse management system (WMS) prior to experience preferable
  • Strong knowledge of transportation and preparing shipments both domestically and internationally
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, MS 365
  • Align all processes and systems as required
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and written to build professional relationships with internal/ external customers and co-workers at all levels
  • Uses time effectively, prioritise tasks and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Forklift operator licence and willing to become a trainer and train others on equipment
