Client delivery and relationshipsPrimarily responsible for the accounting and reporting on a portfolio of clients in line with SLA’s/KPI’s, typically including but not limited to:
  • Maintenance of accounting software.
  • Month, quarter and year end close and reporting to clients in accordance with agreed content and to agreed deadlines.
  • Monitor and control the client’s cash position including controlling payments.
  • HMRC reporting – VAT returns, EC sales lists, CIS.
  • Full balance sheet support and reconciliation.
  • Manage the year end statutory accounts/audit process via external accountant/auditor.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and be seen as the Financial Controller for the clients’ business.  Areas of development
  • Support and develop Financial Associates and Financial Assistants.
  • Act as a champion for sub functions of finance.
  • Able to identify opportunities and drive change across the finance function.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial acumen and identify new business opportunities
  • May act as an SME/Champion for sub functions of finance, driving improvement and change across the area.
  • May support balance sheet review process.
