RM Recruit are proud to be working with a dynamic and growing company within the education sector in their searches for a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our financial operations and be part of a supportive and forward-thinking finance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, specifically overseeing the purchase ledger, sales ledger, and nominal ledger. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s financial records and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage supplier invoices.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Generte and issue sales invoices.
- Posting cash
- Issuing global recharges
- Reconcile customer accounts.
- Assist in managing accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the nominal ledger.
- Post journals and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting.
- General finance duties including assisting with audits, reporting, and providing support for other finance-related activities as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar finance role (purchase ledger, sales ledger, and nominal ledger).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Xero accounting software and MS Excel.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Desirable Skills:
- AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification (or working towards).
- Experience in a similar industry or environment.
