Job Title: Financial Planning &Analysis Accountant (FP&A)

Location: Warwick, United Kingdom (Hybrid)

Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract - 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Support the FP&A team in delivering high-quality management reporting, providing accurate insights to the Board and Exec team, and driving the performance of National Gas.
  • Prepare timely and insightful reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Lead the collation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for monthly reporting to external stakeholders.
  • Work with various teams across the organisation to gather forecast assumptions and ensure accurate and timely delivery to set timescales.
  • Drive efficiency in reporting processes and improve the quality of submissions from teams.
  • Assist in recurring and ad hoc financial and performance analysis, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of business performance and progress against improvement initiatives.
  • Own the update and maintenance of performance models, ensuring accurate reporting of key performance measures to stakeholders.
  • Act as a business partner, supporting stakeholders in generating and interpreting business information to make informed decisions.
  • Proactively build knowledge of industry regulations and their impact on the business to provide guidance and support key decisions.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to summarise complex transactions or data to senior management and in formal papers.
  • Focused on detail, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, tools, and advanced Excel skills.
