Description
- Lead the build and development of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy
- Partner with senior stakeholders across services and corporate functions
- Analyse and scrutinise spending plans, pressures, and corporate functions
- Oversee key revenue funding streams including grants and council tax
- Support budget planning and monitoring processes
- Provide insight and advice to boards and strategic leadership teams
- Contribute to financial reporting and statutory returns
Profile
The successful Senior Accountant - Financial Strategy should have:
- CCAB Qualified Accountant (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in a similar strategic or business partnering finance role
- Ability to influence and engage non-finance stakeholders effectively
