I am currently looking for a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join a leading consulting firm in their Warwick office. You'll be part of a dynamic team, working alongside Chartered, mid-level, and graduate engineers on a diverse range of challenging structural projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in structural engineering and be comfortable managing complex projects from start to finish. You will work on bespoke new builds, refurbishments, and heritage structures, with a strong focus on sustainable design and the reuse of materials.
The main responsibilities for this Structural Engineering role include:
- Perform detailed structural design in line with UK and European codes of practice
- Develop preliminary design solutions, discuss with clients, and provide technical advice
- Produce designs, calculations, specifications, and conduct technical reviews
- Participate in design, progress, and client meetings
- Communicate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to address technical queries
- Work across a range of construction types, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
- Conduct structural assessments for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings
- Manage project costs, timelines, and sustainability goals
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and health and safety standards
- Supervise CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers, ensuring quality assurance
- Support business development and maintain existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities
The key requirements for this Structural Engineer role are:
- A minimum of a 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering
- Full UK driving license and access to personal transport
- Chartered or near-chartered status (MICE or MIStructE)
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-focused approach with a commitment to quality and integrity
