We are seeking an Operations and Maintenance Manager to lead a team of office staff and repair engineers. This role is pivotal in providing the support and guidance necessary for the team to excel. The successful candidate will be responsible for making day-to-day commercial business decisions, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded, and the business remains commercially viable.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the operations of the office staff and repair engineers, ensuring high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Make informed commercial decisions to maintain and enhance business profitability.
- Handle complex technical queries and provide solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain a working knowledge of electrical motors, bearings, electromechanical repair, and industrial automation.
- Support and guide the team towards achieving excellence in their respective roles.
- Ensure the team is well-equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing operations and maintenance teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support staff.
- Working knowledge of electrical motors, bearings, electromechanical repair, and industrial automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle complex technical issues.
- Commercial acumen to make sound business decisions.
- Ability to work at a director level with a strategic mindset.
