We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef for a temporary assignment at a prestigious hotel in Warwick. This two-day role is scheduled for the 25th and 26th of October 2024. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume, quality-focused kitchen environments and be ready to step into a fast-paced setting.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during high-pressure service times.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow the health and safety regulations.
- Manage and train any junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Handle ingredients and resources efficiently to minimise waste.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent record of kitchen management and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during service.
