Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during high-pressure service times.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow the health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and train any junior kitchen staff as needed.
  • Handle ingredients and resources efficiently to minimise waste.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during service.
