This South Warwickshire charity are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to work with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to lead the organisation through the next strategic phase, reshape the strategy and ensure all aspects of our work are laser-focused on achieving the vision

The CEO will report to the Chair of Trustees, and will have delegated accountability for the vision, strategic development and direction of the business to ensure continued growth and success. They will have the ability to lead and inspire the Leadership Team to plan, monitor and deliver services effectively and, in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, will ensure the highest standards of governance are implemented. They will represent the organisation externally and enhance our reputation and business developments with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the business, implementing the strategic decisions of and ensuring organisational objectives are met.
  • Represent the organisation in all public matters, fostering strong relationships with external partners, and stakeholders, including professional bodies and local government.
  • Ensure the Charitys financial sustainability, including effective budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Lead and develop the organisations staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive culture that encourages professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Strive to ensure that the organisation has governance systems in place that enable it to consistently fulfil its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees, attending all Board and sub-committee meetings, providing regular updates, strategic insights, and recommendations. Providing support to the Board of Trustees in ensuring proper governance processes are operated throughout the organisation.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges and ensure effective systems, processes and procedures are in place for mitigation.

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven leadership experience at an executive or senior management level, ideally within a not-for-profit, although other backgrounds would be considered.
  • Strong governance and organisational management skills, with experience working with trustees or a similar governing body.
  • Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, including the foresight for future planning, the adaptability to change and the skill to build strong relationships
  • Excellent financial acumen, with a track record in managing budgets, forecasting, and organisational risk.
  • A clear, articulate communicator with experience engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
