A leading Construction organisation are looking for an experienced Estimator who will be responsible for the management of their preconstruction estimating process for tenders allocated to them.
Based in their Warwick office, the Estimator will also be required to:
Ensure any gaps within the supply chain are filled with at least three compliant suppliers and that all current suppliers remain compliant.
Assist the internal company with commercial enquiries for the redevelopment of their portfolio.
Receive, log, administer and finally present all enquiries received to the Director at the tender adjudication meeting prior to returning any submission.
Key Responsibilities
Attend and contribute to bid/no bid meeting for tender opportunities.
Send receipt acknowledgment for all tender enquiries received.
Log the new tender enquiry, allocate a project number, and set up the project file.
Arrange and chair the tender launch meeting to be attended by key staff.
Prepare and distribute the tender programme
Evaluate each enquiry and report on its suitability for the company.
Write and manage a tender tracker, ensuring a tender is complete and presented to the Director for final approval prior to its submission date.
Complete take offs and Scopes of Works if not already issued with enquires.
Ensure that all works requested are split down into package types and sent to suppliers for pricing.
Co-ordinate a Risks and Opportunities meeting with the project team and from our supply chain quotations.
Receive and review all prices submitted, reporting on preferred suppliers in a pre-issue, submission to the Director.
Arrange a tender adjudication meeting to be attended by all relevant stakeholders.
On approval submit the final submission of the tender as requested on the initial enquiry.
Attend any interviews and answer queries as they arise.
Follow up tender submissions and report any feedback to the Director.
On award of contract, complete a handover of the project to the Director and project team.
Assist the construction department with pricing of additional works that arise.

The Person:
Reporting to the Director, the ideal candidate will have the ability to run their own estimating and have the desire to progress their experience to include membership of a professional body.
With attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills, on completion of the probation the Estimator will be invited to join the company Work Based Learning and Development Programme to provide support through their own career development
