As Workshop Manager, you will play an integral part in managing the assembly process of these machines. Salary & Benefits:

  • c£55,000 basic + multiple additional bonuses.

The Workshop Manager job would suit:

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical fitting / assembly of machine components.
  • Team leadership experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
  • Specific experience within the automation sector would be a bonus, but not essential for the right person.
  • Someone who looks to improve a process and has a continuous improvement mindset.
  • SME doer mentality whilst its an international manufacturing business, this is an agile, growing and highly profitable SME.
  • Apprentice trained in mechanical engineering.

The Workshop Manager job involves:

  • Plan and manage the workload of technicians, to ensure that projects are completed on time and to budget.
  • Allocation and management of workshop areas and resources.
  • Establish and manage the inspection/finishing processes of machined components.
  • Responsible for calibration of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Implementation and improvement of workshop working practices and SOPs.
