Alexander Daniels Credit Division are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Credit Manager on behalf of a leading business based in Warwick on a full-time, permanent basis. As Senior Credit Manager, you will be responsible for a team of 2 team leaders and a wider team of up to 25 credit controllers to ensue effective credit control, credit risk management.

We are looking for an experienced senior credit manager who is a strong people manager but also has experience and knowledge of reviewing, improving, and implementing processes and policies. It is also very important to have strong experience of credit risk analysis as make credit decisions on credit limits a key part of this role.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office.

As the Credit Manager, you'll primarily be responsible for:

  • Line management of 2 team leaders as direct reports and a wider team of 25 credit controllers
  • Business partner business unit sales, operations and leadership team stakeholders to advise on credit decisions, opportunities and risks
  • Regularly review credit facilities of customers within business unit identifying any opportunities or risks and amend credit limits accordingly. Appropriately manage the Risk profile in the business.
  • Lead and manage a Credit Control team to minimise aged debt and achieve cash collection targets
  • Maintain close relationships with other members of the credit management team sharing information on risks and opportunities and actively seeking to share and implement best practice processes.
  • Identify, Develop and Implement Departmental Policy, Process and Procedure changes, ensuring full business acceptance and adaptation.
  • Use necessary tools, such as Lean Six Sigma, to instil Continuous Improvement within the team.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for someone to:

  • Ideally CICM qualified or studying - Not essential
  • Strong experience of managing larger credit control teams in a large business
  • Strong understanding and ability to carry out credit risk analysis
  • Good excel skills
  • Strong communicator that can build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of reviewing, improving and implementing credit control policies
  • Demonstrate strong levels or strategic thinking and execution
