Electrical Assembly Technician

We are looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join an innovative control systems company. The role involves assembling complex electrical drives and controls, often in low volumes or bespoke quantities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for working within a forward-thinking business.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assemble complex electrical drives and control systems, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Utilise crimping, soldering, and hand assembly tools to construct components.
  • Engage in PCB assembly and perform basic programming and configuring tasks.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics, raising questions when necessary to clarify requirements.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks and testing of your own work to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Working alongside other Electrical Assembly Technicians.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in electrical assembly, with strong crimping, soldering, and hand assembly tool skills.
  • Familiarity with PCB assembly and basic programming and configuring.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and effectively communicate any queries.
  • A commitment to quality, with the ability to test and quality check own work.
  • An apprenticeship in electrical fields, NVQ level 2 or higher in a relevant subject, or IPC accreditation is highly desirable.
