We are looking for a Powertrain Electrification - HV Systems Engineer to join our team in Warwick.

The Powertrain Electrification team is responsible for the development of Hybrid and Electric Propulsion Systems, including key High Voltage (HV) vehicle system components such as Battery Pack, eMotors, inverters, DCDC converters, and on-board chargers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Solicitation from other teams (EE, Vehicle Eng., Chassis, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Requirement Interrogation and target definition for ePT hardware components
  • Leadership of CAE activities defining the performance of ePT components
  • Management of interfaces between vehicle and ePT and ePT and component hardware
  • Compilation of system and interface DFMEA between vehicle and ePT components
  • Definition of use cases and functional states
  • Management of ePT-level DVP and definition of ePT test cases for rig or vehicle tests
  • Alignment of ePT development with programme deliverables and maturity targets
  • Representing ePT to other functional areas and managing system interactions

Experience Required:

  • Automotive experience in ePT system and product development
  • Proven record of delivering in a limited investment dynamic environment
  • Proven record of Engineering Leadership of multidisciplinary teams
  • Expertise in design techniques and manufacturing of ePT components such as eDrives
  • Experience in other areas such as Cooling, FUSA, EE, NVH, Software, Chassis
  • Working knowledge of engineering and systems management tools such as System Composer, Virtual Vehicle Composer, Concept EV, Polarion, MS Project, etc.
  • Experience in strategic planning and reporting to senior level
  • Proven record of delivering high value complex R&D and product programmes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Transferable skills supporting component delivery such as DfM and Industrialisation
