Salary: 13.00 per hour (Overtime: 14.27 per hour, Weekends: 17.05 per hour)
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Job Description:
Excel Industrial is seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to join the team as a Buildings/Maintenance Operative. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in general maintenance and a proactive approach to building upkeep. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment at the premises.
In this role, you will work independently to handle a variety of maintenance tasks, from minor repairs to general upkeep, ensuring everything operates smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic DIY tasks such as putting up shelves, painting, and weeding
- Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs to keep facilities in good condition
- Monitor building conditions and resolve maintenance issues as they arise
- Maintain a high standard of building appearance
- Work independently and effectively manage your time
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role is essential
- Basic DIY skills (e.g., painting, fixing shelves, weeding)
- A valid UK car driving licence is required
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
