Now seeking an English Lecturer to join on a temporary part-time basis in Warwickshire.


The role
AnEnglish Lecturerto join the team at their campus based in Warwick to teach a group of GCSE English re-sit students.

Hours:Thursday (09:00 - 12:15)
Contract Duration:12thSeptember - ongoing
Pay rate:25-35 p/hr



You will take responsibility for:

  • Supporting a group of students with their English re-sit exams.
  • Developing and producing relevant teaching materials and paperwork associated with the planning and assessing of the course.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to enhance student engagement and adapt the curriculum.
  • Promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Tracking student progress and providing feedback.


What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English (Grade A-C or grade 2).
  • Previous experience of teaching relevant subject, ideally in a further education setting
  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable young people or young
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and organisation.
  • An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months is required for this role.



Other DESIRABLE skills include:

  • Previous experience working as an English lecturer or similar role in a college/higher education setting
  • Teacher training qualifications would be desirable for this position
