Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology settings
  • Experience in Networking Services (network and communications)
  • Good technical and business communication skills
  • Certification in Cisco or similar networking products is a plus
  • Solarwinds familiarity is a plus
  • Good knowledge of English both written and verbal
  • Good Stakeholder management
  • Can work to own initiative
  • Flexible to work some out of core hours due to Global team across UK/Canada/Middle East and Belgium
  • Windows AD advantageous.

Your responsibilities

  • Act as point of expertise in respect to:
    • Understand how the RDS solution can be applied to connect with various customer environments which will allow network configurations to be developed
    • Network configuration to remotely connect customer network to central host site
    • Strong understanding of VPN protocols IKEv1 and IKEv2
    • Firm understanding of SNMP messaging protocols
    • Support and maintenance for existing customer connections and VPN solutions
    • Investigation and resolution of issues relating to network connectivity by working with customers when an outage occurs
  • Technical central point for installing and maintaining remote connections
  • Working with customers and RDS Support team to plan network connectivity to/from site
  • Support the monitoring software for hardware and remote connection alerts
  • Manage the network hardware updates as needed
  • Work with cybersecurity and other departments to ensure network solution remains compliant with company guidelines

As a Network Engineer you will have the responsibility for RDS site connectivity, which includes the set-up and support of data network equipment and connectivity to STA-RMS central data collection network. This position requires direct contact with end customers to facilitate the design, installation and support. Our customers, both internal and external, are located across the globe.
