Project Scoping Manager

Summary

We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support our clients IT&D, focused on the Interconnectors Business Unit. We're working collaboratively to create a multi-year, transformative Data and Gen AI roadmap. This role will be key in shaping and undertaking the feasibility to be able to initiate this change.

You'll report into the IT&D Lead Product Manager, working closely with the Interconnectors Senior Business Partner and colleagues across product management, research and design. You'll be responsible for translating business needs and shaping projects and programmes to bring change, ultimately becoming the delivery roadmap.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Lead Product Manager and Senior Business Partner in defining the IT&D roadmap for Interconnectors
  • Work with business stakeholders to translate initial ideas and needs into a tangible plan
  • Work with colleagues in IT&D (project managers, product managers, user researchers, domain architects and others) to identify the most effective and efficient way of delivering programmes
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to bring forward prioritised initiatives so they can be executed
  • Support the team with other activities as required (e.g. financial, progress and performance reporting)

You won't necessarily be expected to play a major role in the delivery of projects, but should have a good understanding of the delivery portfolio in order to identify potential synergies. We need you to engage with the right people, be able to understand the art-of-the-possible, and to communicate it effectively - turning ideas into valuable programmes of work.

Requirements:

  • This is a hybrid Senior BA role to take on a number of initiatives (within interconnectors in data and commercial and asset & operations) from ideation over to
  • In the last 8-10 weeks we have been shaping a transformative Data and Gen AI roadmap that has brought out 9 strong ideas that they want to develop
  • You will be involved in building out these 9 conceptual ideas, showcasing the value of the projects and building the business case to present to the business to request funding
  • How these ideas can be shaped including the understanding of Data Governance, Assurance, Resilience, Capability, and Ways of Working in the Data Foundation space
  • Collaborating with construction colleagues to understand the Offshore Hybrid Asset (OHA) projects (subsea cables point to point interconnectors or linking wind farms together) and shaping the OHA Common Data Environment (CDE) Platform Strategy for BIM, GIS, and Document Management
  • Need to understand what the data environment, GIS (Geographic Info Systems) looks like with the business and how the business can shape the projects
  • How the business can approach the implementation to take the projects forward
  • You must have strong stakeholder and approachable warm interpersonal skills
  • Needs someone who is dynamic, who can work with ambiguity - would suit someone from a consultative background
