Job Title: Security Architect
Level: Mid - Senior
Location: UK-based Hybrid working (Office location: Warwick, 2 days a week; 3 days remote)
Clearance Required: SC preferred, BPSS minimum
Duration: 6 months initially
We are looking for 4 experienced Security Architects to support an essential cyber programme in the OT space. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential for an extension to 8 months. These roles involve working on projects in the Operational Technology (OT) space, but leveraging modern IT deployment tools. You will need a deep understanding of both OT and IT environments to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.
Key Projects:
OT Remote Backups:
- Build and deploy hosts across the UK using Red Hat.
- Automate deployment using Kickstart, Ansible, and manage updates with Satellite.
- Create a file sync solution for recovery files across multiple locations.
OT Data Insights Platform:
- Surface data from substations using protocols such as MQTT and OPC.
- Collect and forward data to central systems for analysis.
OT Paw Refresh:
- Centrally managed Privilege Access Workstations (PAW) using Azure and Intune.
- Deploy virtual machines for asset management.
P&C Hardened Compute Platform:
- Deploy hosts using Red Hat + KVM, leveraging automation tools like Kickstart and Ansible.
- Manage virtual machines for operational activities.
OT Services Network Enhancements:
- Establish a Network Management Centre.
- Implement an asset management solution and evaluate network improvements for enhanced security.
- Design and deliver a semi-rugged OT PAW integrated with substations.
- Deploy backup and recovery solutions for critical substations, ensuring high resilience and security.
- Build data insights platforms for operational data analysis and decision-making.
- Harden and virtualize compute platforms in substations with various vendor systems.
- Strengthen the private OT services network, including asset management and security monitoring.
- Strong experience in IT/OT convergence and security architecture.
- Knowledge of Red Hat, Kickstart, Ansible, Azure, Intune, and Satellite.
- Experience with protocols like MQTT and OPC for data collection.
- Understanding of virtualized environments and network security enhancements.
- SC Clearance preferred, but BPSS clearance is the minimum requirement.
