Reed Specialist Recruitment is working on behalf of a client who is a leading supplier of door drive and control equipment to the UK industrial door market and who offer a bespoke control panel design and manufacturing service which can accommodate almost any specification.  The company is known for its high quality and specialist builds.

Role Overview: Our client is looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team, autonomously building control panels and ensuring an efficient throughput of builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building control panels by understanding, interpreting and following electrical drawings and schematics produced by the design team.
  • Testing own work, diagnosing and addressing any faults and contributing to any adjustments/redesigns needed for bespoke work and proto types.
  • Producing other related products as needed to maintain stock or adapt current stock items.
  • Carrying out production work efficiently and within the timescales required by customers

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in building and wiring control panels.
  • Ability to correctly understand, interpret, and review electrical drawings and schematics.  
  • Proficiency in checking over your own work and fault finding, diagnosing, and improving problems.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining a high work quality and reputation for complex bespoke work.  
  • An apprenticeship or professional training background is beneficial.
