Our client, an established construction consultancy, now have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer to join ther team in Warwick on a permanent basis. You will need a minimum of 1 years experience to be considered for this position.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different industries whilst working alongside a strong and experienced leadership team.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Preparation and checking of structuraldesigns and drawings, specifications and reports.

  • Represent our clientat meetingswhen required, and attend site to undertake surveys and inspections.

  • Control the programmed performance of projects.

  • Brief and supervise Graduate Engineers and Technicianson the production of drawings.

  • Assist with new business opportunities

Key skills/experience required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role and workingon a variety of projects.

  • Previous experience of contract negotiations.

  • A commercial understanding of fee management.

  • Have proven ability to design structural members in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.

  • Have an understanding of UK Building Regulations and codes of practice.

  • Familiarwithdesign softwares such as Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame, TEDDS, SCIA and CADS.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified as a minimum.
  • Aspiring to or working towards Incorporated or Chartered Membership of either the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers.
