Our client, an established construction consultancy, now have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer to join ther team in Warwick on a permanent basis. You will need a minimum of 1 years experience to be considered for this position.
This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different industries whilst working alongside a strong and experienced leadership team.
Principal responsibilities:

Preparation and checking of structuraldesigns and drawings, specifications and reports.

Represent our clientat meetingswhen required, and attend site to undertake surveys and inspections.

Control the programmed performance of projects.

Brief and supervise Graduate Engineers and Technicianson the production of drawings.

Assist with new business opportunities
Key skills/experience required:
-
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role and workingon a variety of projects.

Previous experience of contract negotiations.

A commercial understanding of fee management.

Have proven ability to design structural members in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.

Have an understanding of UK Building Regulations and codes of practice.

Familiarwithdesign softwares such as Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame, TEDDS, SCIA and CADS.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified as a minimum.
- Aspiring to or working towards Incorporated or Chartered Membership of either the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers.
