My client a leading global hospital equipment client are looking for a Field Service Engineer for their growing team to cover their NHS and private clients. This will be covering Warwickshire.

Salary 30-32K + Overtime + Van + Holidays

OVERALL PURPOSE:

To undertake on-site service maintenance activities on a range of products and other associated third-party products providing an optimum level of support to both the Company and the Trusts in line with the obligations of the contract.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Predominantly based with the North East Contract, you will undertake a high standard of product cleaning, service and repair activities on the range of Linet products and other associated third-party products in line with the obligations of the contract.
  2. To assist, when required, with installation, service/warranty and/or repair requirement activities on any allocated sites within or beyond the boundaries of the designated service provision.
  3. To respond promptly to all communications using the IT equipment provided in an efficient manner to offer the desired level of support minimising call costs where possible.
  4. To organise and plan daily workload to cover as effectively as possible keeping time away from to a minimum and booking holidays/reporting absences in line with policies and procedures to ensure contract cover is sourced in time where practicable.
  5. To ensure that good relationships are maintained with all customers and other contacts, that an effective service and maintenance function is provided and to ensure that problems occurring are resolved promptly in the interests of the Company.
  6. To prioritise Warranty and Contract breakdowns over routine service calls to maintain the reputation of Linet UK
  7. Ensure demo and evaluation stock is kept in pristine working order, and available for re-assignment at any given point.
  8. Ensure newly delivery stock is checked to ensure it is again pristine and ready for use.
  9. To ensure a close working alliance with the Company’s Sales team and to pass any possible leads for new product sales to enhance commercial opportunities for Company growth, offering support on technical matters when required.
  10. To ensure that any allocated stocks are adequately maintained within agreed levels with management to meet agreed work programs.
  11. To ensure detailed and accurate reporting of all service activities completing all relevant paperwork/electronic forms clearly and concisely and on time. Where applicable, maintaining copies for possible future retrieval.
  12. To compile and maintain a suitable record system for customer information, administrative records etc. to ensure efficient running of your business unit and maintaining progress reports on servicing and evaluation activities.
  13. To implement with current activities any major rework programs or warranty replacement programs to ensure they are completed in an efficient manner.
  14. To maintain if allocated any Company Vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep in accordance with Company policy.

Requirements

- 3 GCSE’s or equivalent (Grade C or above)

- Some experience within Medical Devices Service and/or maintenance

- PAT Testing experience or ability to learn

- LOLER Training given

- Experience of record keeping/data input.

- MS Office/IT experience

- Excellent Customer Service Skills, courteous and conscientious

- Commitment to participate in relevant training and development.
