They are trialling a new minibus fleet to provide home-to-school transport across several locations. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of children during their school journeys, supporting both the driver and the passengers.You will achieve this by:
  • Supervising and assisting students during boarding, transit, and disembarking
  • Safely securing wheelchairs and using restraint systems where necessary
  • Providing support and reassurance to young and vulnerable passengers
  • Communicating effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff
  • Managing any incidents professionally, ensuring passenger safety at all times
  • Participating fully in training and route familiarisation sessions

  • Commitment to working all term days for both morning and afternoon school runs
  • Availability for mandatory training from 18th-22nd August and 26th-29th August
  • A caring, supportive, and patient attitude towards young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
