This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of sustainable energy across the county, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders.The successful candidate will play a key role in driving Warwickshire’s transition towards a more sustainable, low-carbon energy system.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the planning, implementation and successful delivery of Warwickshire’s Local Area Energy Plan
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, energy infrastructure companies, industry representatives, and community groups
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and risk to ensure the project stays on course
  • Collecting, analysing and interpreting data to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national energy policies and regulations
  • Communicating complex information effectively to a range of audiences
  • Identifying funding opportunities and evaluating the cost-effectiveness of proposed energy solutions
  • Encouraging innovative thinking to tackle challenges and drive progress
  • Promoting environmental sustainability throughout all stages of the project
About You:
  • Demonstrable experience in project management, particularly within the energy or sustainability sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge of energy systems, renewable technologies, and decarbonisation strategies
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across sectors
  • A good understanding of relevant energy policy and regulatory frameworks
  • The ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into practical insights
  • Clear and confident communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to delivering results
  • A passion for sustainability and a drive to make a positive environmental impact
