Transformation Control Lead- 6 month contract- Inside IR35

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of control strategies in a dynamic, collaborative environment? Our client, an innovative organisation with a commitment to excellence, is seeking a motivated and experienced Controls Lead to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about governance and control environments.

As the Controls Lead, you will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of a robust controls strategy across HR, Finance, and Procurement workstreams. You will work closely with key stakeholders, attend design workshops, and contribute to creating seamless and effective processes.

  • Collaborate with the Controls partner to draught and approve a comprehensive controls strategy and approach document.
  • Analyse the current RACM (Roles and Controls Matrix) and process designs to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Attend design workshops and governance meetings to gain insights into future process designs and effectively integrate automated controls.
  • Develop a robust to-be RACM for HR, Finance, and Procurement, optimising automated controls while maintaining efficiency.
  • Partner with Product Managers to ensure end-to-end integration of the RACM design, eliminating control gaps and duplications.
  • Update process maps and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with new controls.
  • Guide the change management process with a controls perspective, including impacts assessment, training needs analysis, and user acceptance testing.
  • Facilitate the testing process by signing off on control-related test scripts and supporting UAT efforts.
  • Collaborate with the training partner to develop comprehensive training materials for controls and assist in training sessions.
  • Work closely with the NESO Assurance team to ensure the revised RACM is integrated with organisational standards.
  • Liaise with the CFO controls team, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and approval processes.
  • Develop, establish, and embed IT general controls in collaboration with DD&T, providing essential guidance for an enduring control environment.
  • Proven experience in controls strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of RACM, process design, and control governance.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability in change management and training needs analysis.
  • Proficiency in developing user acceptance testing scripts and training materials.
  • A proactive approach, with a knack for problem-solving and ensuring knowledge transfer.
