The position of Connections Engineer in the Transmission and Distribution sector is available for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension, and offers a salary of £550-£600 per day inside IR35.
The role requires leading the development and costing of connection offer proposals and feasibility studies for customer investments in the GB Electricity Transmission System.
Candidates must have high voltage transmission experience and electrical knowledge of assets and their cost estimation.
Proficiency in contract management and commercial experience is essential, along with IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications.
The position is remote with 1-2 days on-site per month at either the Warwick or Leeds office, and relevant experience is necessary.

Role Outline:

As an authorised engineer, you will lead the development and costing of connection offer proposals and feasibility studies for Customer related investments for the GB Electricity Transmission System.
Put together a project program by bringing costs together, whilst verifying how to deliver the works.
Lead the development and costing for several customer connection investments up to the point that an initial proposal has been developed and an investment driver has been established.
Develop a range of costed delivery programme options for each project to discuss with the customer to ensure best fit and solution with their requirements.
Looking at the option selection phase of the Network Development Process for a portfolio of customer investments for the GB Electricity Transmission System in support of the investment driver.
Creating Scoping Documents following the TP500 process.

Qualifications / Experience:

High Voltage Transmission experience.
Electrical knowledge of assets and their cost estimation.
Proficient in Contract Management and Commercial experience.
