This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Strategic Buyer to join a prestigious and innovative automotive company on a maternity cover basis. With a competitive rate of £32.02/hr (inside IR35) and a hybrid working model of at least 2 days per week in the office, this position offers the perfect blend of flexibility and engagement in a vibrant work environment.
What You Will Do:
- Lead global commodity sourcing through the global sourcing process until the vehicle launch.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Purchasing Function to ensure optimum value creation and delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, representing the company both internally and externally with professionalism.
- Support the Procurement Manager in developing supplier and internal stakeholder relationships for strategic and programme alignment.
- Conduct Supplier Business Reviews, ensuring the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed.
- Play a key role in contributing to the future strategy of the company, creating opportunities to cooperate with different business areas.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- A graduate with purchasing experience, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of engineering and international business.
- A CIPS qualification would be advantageous.
- A proactive approach, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
