Our client is a leading telecoms company that specialises in projects across the UK. They currently require a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a variety of projects.

Within this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project cost control from handover to final account. This role would suit a candidate with a background in the construction/transport sector.

The key deliverables for this role are as follows:

  • Preparing and ensuring monthly client applications for payment are issued in accordance with the contract and timely certification and payment by the client.
  • Identify, prepare, price and agree changes with the client
  • Administration of contracts (with support from commercial)
  • Reporting monthly on cost/value reconciliation
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts with the client
  • Support the project manager to prepare and present the monthly contract review to senior management team
  • Payment and commercial management of suppliers/sub-contractors
  • Provide support and advice to the project team
  • Identify areas to improve margin
  • Participate in project meetings and producing progress reports
  • Support bid team as required in responding to ITT requests
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
