Passive Safety Test Technician - 39967 - £25.53/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:

- Conduct physical destructive testing on components, systems, and vehicles to meet Passive Safety targets.

- Work closely with customers, utilizing data for engineering development or compliance evidence.

- Translate regulation and requirement test protocols into actionable test plans.

- Operate a variety of modern test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.

- Manage tests through to completion, ensuring timely production of test reports.

- Collaborate within the Vehicle Safety Test Laboratories team to contribute to project success.

What You Will Bring:

- Proven experience in physical testing within a laboratory setting.

- Familiarity with passive safety regulations and requirements, including FMVSS and ECE.

- Proficiency in using instrumentation and data acquisition systems (e.g., force, displacement, acceleration).

- Ideally previous experience in a vehicle safety test laboratory, with exposure to rigs, sleds, or whole vehicle crash testing.

- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Motorsport, Aerospace, Physics, or a related field.
