Accounts Assistant to undertake all aspects of Purchase Ledgers, Sales Ledgers, Cash Books and Elements of Nominal Ledgers for UK Finance.
The key primary duties include but are not limited to the following:
Purchase Ledger
- Code and check purchase invoices and expenses
- Enter purchase invoices and expenses on Sage50 or similar systems
- Post supplier and expense payments to Sage50
- Check and reconcile supplier statements
- Deal with supplier / invoice enquiries
Sales Ledger
- Raise sales invoices via Sage50
- Post invoices to customers on Sage50
- Post customers receipts to Sage50
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Chase outstanding debts
Cash Book / Nominal Ledger
- Post Cash Receipts and Payments via Sage50
- Provide weekly Bank Account Reconciliations
- Post NL Transactions (Incl. FA, Payroll, Accruals & Prepayments) via Sage50 on a timely basis
- Support the Management Accountant in producing standardised, accurate, reconciled and timely monthly financial reporting and performance packs, including Balance Sheets (e.g. Bank Reconciliations).
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required and directed
You must have experience of the above and sage line 50 experience. If you are part AAT qualified or AAT qualified then this will be ideal. Good organisational skills and good communication skills are critical for this role. The role is hybrid with two days from home .
