Isaac James Associates is delighted to partner with a leading European wide FMCG business to appoint a Supply Chaine Accountant to join their busy team in their Warwickshire offices.

The role

Working with the Central Finance Team and embedded into the Supply Chain & Logistics team, you’ll produce weekly and monthly reports analysing the freight data.

Understanding the cost drivers of this complex Logistics operation is a crucial part of the OPEX management of this business.

Duties will include:

  • Preparation of weekly and monthly freight accounts.
  • Group reporting on distribution and warehousing including development of management information as required, with the associated analysis to help identify opportunities for cost efficiency, including gap up opportunities.
  • Provide input to product costings for transport, warehousing and other logistics related costs, ensuring standards are updated accurately and in line with policy.
  • Stock reconciliations for third party warehouses.
  • Prepare and/or review relevant balance sheet accounts.
  • Provide pro-active input to developing and implementing improvement opportunities in logistics accounting and control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOX and standard internal controls as required

We are looking for a qualified Accountant with strong experience in a Logistics / Supply Chain environment to join this excellent team.

FMCG experience is a Must Have requirement for this role, and as business partner embedded with the logistics team, you’ll have great communication skills, with the ability to analyse variances in a Supply Chain environment and work with the Logistics team to implement improvements and controls.
