Telent is seeking a Customer Coordinator to join our Fibre Build Delivery team in Network Services. This crucial role handles all requests, incidents, and information directed towards Telent regarding the delivery of the Fibre Build programme across the Southeast and London regions. This is a Flexible Working role that will require travel to the Warwick Headquarters (CV34 5AH) at least 1 day per week for collaborative working, and work from home.

Customer Coordinator - What you'll do:

  • Main duties are to support scheduling duties, handling and responding to emails / the mailing inbox, escalating any customer queries, requests or incidents with the correct contacts and through the correct channels, and being the first point of contact for any customer enquiries.
  • Prioritise and coordinate work orders through liaison with customers, subcontractors, and supplier managers.
  • Ensure full compliance with local authority and statutory provisions for the administration of Street Works legislations.
  • Maintain accurate records of in-progress and completed works.
  • Support full compliance with relevant Health & Safety policy provisions.
  • Ensure all agreed client and internal KPI's are met or exceeded

Customer Coordinator - Who you are:

The ideal Customer Coordinator will have an administrative background and be comfortable handling and executing general administrative tasks. Paired with the desired admin skills is the ability to schedule works and engineers to specific tasks, locations of work, and mini-programmes where required, monitoring health & safety and compliance with certifications. This role requires confidence in answering inbound calls and handling important customer-related emails with professionalism and understanding, while being able to escalate where required. Additional and ongoing training will also be available.

Customer Coordinator - Key requirements:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, to GCSE standard.
  • City & Guild NRSWA Coordination of Streetworks or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Adept in the logistical skills required to produce effective and efficient work programs (customer, materials, geography, understanding of locations and regions).
  • Able to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of software systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, customer portals, Excel).
