Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, you will manage a range of accounting responsibilities, providing high standards of service to clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts and corporation tax computations to a high standard
  • Producing management accounts for clients
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance
  • Reviewing client records and advising on software improvements or process enhancements
  • Building strong relationships with clients and team members
  • Working on client records using Sage and Xero, both in the office and on-site
  • Managing your own workload and meeting tight deadlines effectively

Candidate Requirements
  • AAT Level 4 qualification as a minimum, or 2-3 years of experience within an accountancy practice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Sage and Xero being advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • A clean driving licence and the ability to work on-site with clients when required
  • High standards of work ethic, conduct, and professionalism
